A phone call translator for any number
Call anyone, in any of 98 languages, and each of you hears the other in your own language. Call from your browser or dial +1 833 988 4455. The other person answers an ordinary phone call and installs nothing.
The web call opens the Owaa app. Sign in with a free Owaa account to use it.
What a phone call translator does
A phone call translator lets two people who do not share a language talk on a normal call. You speak your language, the other person hears theirs, and the reply comes back the same way.
Owaa bridges any two languages on an ordinary phone call. Each speaker keeps their own voice. It is not a text app you type into while someone waits: it is the call itself.
How it works
- 01
Start the call
Open the Owaa web app and enter the number you want to reach, or dial +1 833 988 4455 from your phone and follow the prompts.
- 02
Choose the two languages
Pick the language you speak and the one the other person speaks.
- 03
Talk
The other person answers a normal phone call. Each of you hears the other in your own language, spoken aloud.
Languages
Owaa translates between 98 languages, and any two of them can be paired on a call. The language picker in the app shows the full list. Each speaker keeps their own voice.
Who it is for
Travelers
Call a hotel, a rental host or a restaurant abroad when the only number they answer does not go to English-speaking staff.
Families across a language gap
Let grandparents and grandchildren talk directly, without a relative translating every sentence.
Small businesses and freelancers
Phone an overseas supplier, customer or partner when neither side is fluent in the other’s language.

Owaa or your phone’s built-in translation?
Some phones now translate calls themselves, and for many people that is the better choice: it can be free and built in. Here is how they compare with Owaa, as of October 2026.
| Option | What you need | Other person needs | Languages on calls | Price | Where it is better |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Owaa | A web browser, or any phone that can dial the hotline; a free Owaa account | Nothing. No app | 98 languages | From $0.25 per minute, by country called; 10 free minutes for new accounts | Works on any device and carrier, to any number |
| T-Mobile Live Translation | A T-Mobile line; beta registration | Any carrier or phone | 80+ (T-Mobile’s count at the May 2026 beta launch) | Free during beta; later price not disclosed | No app and no per-minute charge during the beta, for T-Mobile customers |
| Apple Live Translation | An Apple Intelligence iPhone (iOS 26) | Nothing (any device, per Macworld) | 5 at launch; more announced | Free with iOS 26 (data charges may apply) | Free, built in, processed on the device |
| Samsung Live Translate | A supported Galaxy phone (One UI 6.1+) | Not stated by Samsung | Around 20 on Samsung’s list | Samsung says basic Galaxy AI is free; no separate price stated | Built into the Phone app; downloaded languages work with poor or no signal |
| Google Pixel Voice Translate | A Pixel 10 or later | Not stated by Google; one report says only the caller needs a Pixel | English plus 10 others | No separate charge found | Runs on the device, works without internet, mimics your voice |
